ABOUT US

Ken Blom and Gary Abram founded KCFit.net in 2006 after seeing close friends and family members struggle from diseases linked to obesity and physical inactivity. Their mission is to create an online organization that provides others with every tool needed to develop healthier lifestyle choices.

Working with local businesses, KCFit.net desires to:

  • provide wellness programs that are cost effective for employees
  • help offset the rising costs of health plans and the impact on employee retention.
  • decrease the frequency and severity of health insurance and worker's compensation claims due to lifestyle choices
  • address "presenteeism" (the fancy word for diminished effectiveness on the job caused by health risks like Type-2 diabetes, hypertension, and other lifestyle- related conditions)
