Our KCFit members are always looking for latest developments. In this case, check out the Green Fair- a first in the area!  Yoga Month ‘08 is a great way to become initiated or advance your understanding of this incredibly beneficial activity. GREEN FAIR
September 6th from 10am to 4:30pm
Awareness-Raising & Fund-Raising Event

  • Tours of the first two Certified NAHB Build Green Gold and Bronze Level and Energy Star “Plus” Rated homes in the bi-state region, in cooperation with the KCHBA Build Green Kansas City Program.
  • Over 50 green vendors ranging from alternative energy sources, eco-friendly landscaping, cleaning products, & building materials to organic foods, clothing, scooters, & hybrid cars.
  • Civic organizations that seek solutions to environmental challenges, such as Bridging the Gap, Metro Energy Center, MO Dept. of Conservation, & Mid-America Regional Council.
  • Eco-friendly entertainment with Eco-Ellvis & Barclay Martin.
  • Food and family-friendly activities.

Lee’s Summit, MO (2 miles South of I-470 on View High Dr)

Admission: Adults (16 & older):  $5 donation to Truman Heritage Habitat for Humanity
Children:  Free

YOGA MONTH 08
Free Classes, Workshops, and More

Yoga Month is a grassroots, community-based global campaign to educate people about the health benefits of yoga and to inspire a healthy lifestyle.

The activities are open to all ages and fitness levels.  People interested in attending can register online for the event.

Business can also request free yoga classes or lunch and learns about the benefits of yoga and physical activity during the month.

To attend any free classes and workshops, print the free class passes and take to the session.  View the Yoga Month 08 schedule.
