AWG Walking Program

Last Thursday I set up a walking program for Associated Wholesale Grocers. We set it up so it is individuals on the scoreboard as apposed to teams of multiple people. It should be interesting to see what kind of participation we get. It is kind of neat to see each persons name with the steps they have accumulated. I think it might be a great motivational tool around the office.

AWG was nice enough to have me over to each of their locations on Thursday, where I could set up my computer and a projector. It worked out great! I was at each location for about two hours and people were free to stop by when ever they had a chance so I could show them how to log in, input their steps, and just navigate the site. We had a lot of really great questions and some great feedback on the site. I always love to hear feedback, both positive and negative. The only way KCFit can get better is if we know what our members like.

AWG currently has a mile system where employees can accumulate miles to turn in for incentives at certain levels. Currently, the only programs we have track steps or weight loss. We found a good solution to work for AWG with what we currently have and hopefully can move toward more programs with more tracking systems.

KCFIt is on a mission to provide Fit Net Challenges for all companies in the KC Metro. If you are interested, please email cculbertson@kcfit.net or leave a comment on here. If your company has participated or is currently participating in a Fit Net Challenge, please leave comments on what you liked, and didn’t like. What can we deo to make it better?
