Yesterday was the Children’s TLC Groundhog Run 2009! I unfortunately was unable to attend. I have been having a lot of knee trouble since the Legacy Unleashed 5K. I have had to use the eleptical at the gym as apposed to running outside or on the treadmill. I probably need to take a little time off so it can rest, but I am making such great progress on my stamina and conditioning.
I was hoping to be able to make it out to the run just to take a few pictures and maybe some video, but got tied up in the morning. The Groundhog Run seems to be very popular and claims to be the only 10K completely underground in the U.S. What a great unique event to have right here in KC. It was my first 5 k in about 10 years. Loved it! Climate controlled, flat surface, well run race. Looking forward to next year. Cat Kennedy
