Walk 1 billion steps in 2009 (Featured in the Examiner)

I recently was contacted by Leanna Lippert with the Examiner about the Blue Springs Billion Step Challenge. She had heard of the challenge and the buzz that has been going around town for the past few weeks and wanted to do a story. I told her all about the competition and she put together a great article that came out today. One thing that was not mentioned with quite as much emphasis as I hoped was that I am part of the Blue Springs F.I.T. (Families In Training) organization who is really the main supporters and advocates of the Billion Step Challenge. They are working hard to bring more “real tools for real people” in the Blue Springs community. The website is about to be overhauled, but you can view see it at Blue Springs FIT dot Org and keep an eye out for the redesign and calendar of events to come with it.
