As you know, the Hy-Vee Dietitians have written articles and recipes here on our blog to help us out. Michelle, at the Lee’s Summit locations has been my main point of contact and I am on her email list. I received an email last week about this Nutrition & Weight Management Program and immediately called her. This is the type of program that I want to share with our members! She said it was alright for me to post here and let our KCFit Members know that if you show your KCFit Membership Card print off your Billion Step Challenge Page proving you are part of the challenge, you will receive a discount off the original price of $99. This class is only at the Lee’s Summit locations, although other Hy-Vee locations have similar classes and programs running at various times through the year.

Step 1: Find one class that fits your schedule from the three classes available. Due to food preparation and class size participants are not allowed to attend other classes. Please read dates thoroughly; you will find we meet twice in the same week of July on different days of the week. Class size is limited, first come-first serve.
Monday’s 5:30 p.m.
All classes start at 5:30 p.m.
Ward Road Hy-Vee
July- 20, 22 (Wednesday)
August- 3, 10, 17, 24, 31
September- 9 (Wednesday due to holiday), 14
Tuesday’s 5:30 p.m.
All classes start at 5:30 p.m.
Rice Road Hy-Vee
July- 21, 23 (Thursday)
August- 4, 11, 18, 25
September- 1, 8, 15
Wednesday’s 11:00 a.m.
All classes start at 11:00 am.
Ward Road Hy-Vee

August- 5, 12, 19, 26
September- 2, 9, 16
Step 2: You must contact Michelle to set up an initial individual appointment (must have your initial appointment completed by July 17th. Classes start the following week) and pre-pay to hold your spot. No refunds.
Step 3: Have your initial individual appointment completed by July 17th; classes start the following week. In your individual appointment you will get to know the dietitian, obtain your specific caloric intake and receive a brief overview of the class outline.
